Comments on how the following statement taken from the Twelve Concepts for World Service, applies to you and your exerience would be greatly appreciated. My intention is not to illicit or start a controversy arguing the religious vs spiritual points that forever entangle folks in debate but to intelligently discuss the application of the concept in our individual lives. So please try to ignore any language you may find offensive and look deeper into the spirit in which the writer Bill W., was trying to convey.

Thanks

"Freedom under God to grow in His likeness and image will ever be the quest of the Alcoholics Anonymous.

"We of A.A. believe that our freedom to serve is truly the freedom by which we live -the freedom in which we have our being."

(c) 1962, Twelve Concepts for World Service by Bill W., page 74

I stll don't have anything wonderful to add to this, other than I have been reading, and what I see in the stuff I am reading, is the concepts of recovery, unity and service, for AA, as a whole, again.
I am as an individual probably not well enough to have much to share with someone else, so my own service type things are more simple.
I am grateful to AA for being there for me. I like the vision Bill seemed to have for AA and it's growth.
Sam
