Posted - June 02 2003 : 7:15:02 PM Well Tammy I would not have thought that's who!! LOL When I met you and its been probably almost that long ago I thought you had double digit years. It was awhile before we talked about this, I think maybe even on the phone and I was shocked when you said it was a little over a year. You wear your sobriety well my friend.
Well Thursday is my belly button birthday, wish I had as many sober years as it..LOL But my DOS is August 19th 2001 and I am darn proud of it. Been one heck of a ride, hasn't it Tammy? You were on the other end of the phone of it several times, and thank God for you.

Posted - November 04 2002 : 1:44:31 PM Hi Sammie :)
My sobriety birthday is Dec. 3, 1988.
That day is the first day of the rest of my life, that is the day that I knew I was home, and I knew that I belonged somewhere!
I will be forever grateful to those wonderful recovering alkies at my first AA meeting. They had the good sense not to argue with this drunk LOL
They just kept making that infamous statement that we all know well here in the halls of AA "Keep coming Patsy, it works if you work it" LOL
It was a while before I knew enough to shut my mouth and open my ears, because those wonderful people had exactly what I had been looking for all my life... Peaceful hearts, minds and souls :) God Bless them for their patience and tolerance... and believe me I pushed the envelope as far as it would go LOL
Love to you all Patsy
